International definitions and specialized terms : UNESCO defines "creative and cultural industries" as: "Parts of organized activity whose main purpose is the production or reproduction, promotion, distribution or commercialization of goods, services and activities of a cultural, artistic or cultural heritage nature .... "Creative economics, on the one hand, places cultural activities and processes at the heart of a new economy, and, on the other hand, represents creativity in areas that are not cultural."
